DEPRESSED! ME?
Personal picture story by Carol Limonard
The risk of becoming depressed is very high. One in five people suffer from depression at some point in their life. One way or another everyone will be affected by it. One of the spearheads of government policy is to reduce the number of depressed people. Education and raised awareness must help to achieve that.
Limonard: ‘My experience has taught me that the subject is better understood by relating a personal story. Depressed! Me? is just that. It’s the short version of what I tell to pupils, students, relief workers, to people who are or have been depressed and others who are involved. Unfortunately, this only reaches a limited number of people. But now there a version which is freely available to download.'
